Guerrand DiThon becomes the apprentice of the mage Justarius and Lyim Rhistadt becomes the apprentice of Belize. The apprentice mages learn that Belize is practicing with forbidden magic and lead to his undoing. Guerrand passes the Test of High Sorcery.
Justarius becomes the new Head of the Red Robes following the trial and execution of Belize for crimes against High Sorcery.
