Akar (44 PC - 1 PC) was a human Black Robed Wizard who worked for Nuitari on the Night of Doom. Akar was known to have been tall and well built, with iron-gray hair that was long and luxuriant, a face that was tight-lipped, resolute, unforgiving, and unyielding. He also had tanned skin, strong arms, and after his deal with Nuitari he had finger marks on his left hand made by the dark god of magic. From these fingertips, he would feel Nuitari's anger through them in the form of pain. Akar was taught magic by one of the best Black Robes in Krynn's history, Fistandantilus.
Night of Doom[]
Nuitari set a task before Akar to bring a good and true person to the Bridge of Stars to release all the dark clerics residing in the Abyss as a favor for his mother Takhisis. Nuitari went on to state how he had always been impressed with Akar and his magical abilities, and would grant him more great powers if he succeeded in this.
So Akar hired an army of goblins to attack Castle Whitsund and captured the young lord there, Nicholas Whitsund. The goblins roughed up the Knight of Solamnia a little too much that Akar had to use a wish spell to keep him alive until Akar's dagger was what killed him. Nuitari burned a trail through the woods to the Lost Citadel, and Akar took Nicholas on his horse Goblin's Blood through the newly created trail.
Upon arriving at the Lost Citadel, Akar saw nothing more than a ruin rather than the beauty of the Lost Citadel a true cleric would see. He dragged Nicholas up on the Bridge of Stars, and was about to sacrifice him when Brother Michael and Nikol Whitsund stopped him. Raistlin Majere hit Akar's left hand with a bolt of lightning, which caused him to drop the dagger. Nikol used her sword and sliced into Akar, which killed him ending the threat of the clerics return to Krynn.
