Ancilla (265 AC - Midsummer, 349 AC), or 'Cilla to Hederick, was a mage of the Order of the White Robes, and older sister of the infamous High Theocrat Hederick, and daughter to Con and Venessi. She had eyes that were as green as fresh grass, and was considered very pretty and very kind. Ancilla was also tall and strong. She had a very good working knowledge of herbs and their use.
Biography[]
Ancilla left her home village to pursue her education in the ways of magic, but promised to one day return for her younger brother. She passed her Test of High Sorcery by the summer of 292 AC, and immediately went back to get her brother, but she found that he had become inducted into the Seeker faith. While she was able to turn his teacher, Tarscenian, away from the false faith, Ancilla could not get her brother.
Instead, the two of them fought the Seeker faith, and eventually Ancilla took on the power of 39 other White Robes, but she was ultimately unsuccessful in trapping him in the Vallenwood Trees, and instead was trapped herself. She was going to trap him as she swore long ago never to physically harm Hederick.
While trapped in the Vallenwood, along with the other White Robes being trapped in trees, she would appear to Hederick as the Presence attempting to change his ways. This did not work, and she was released from the tree by the Diamond Dragon, and with the assistance of the other freed mages attempted to stop Hederick yet again. Ancilla was killed in the process, but his temple Erolydon was destroyed and she failed to stop Hederick.
