Andras Rannoch (? PC - ? PC) was a black robed (later renegade) wizard towards the end of the Age of Might, responsible for laying the infamous curse on the Tower of High Sorcery at Palanthas.
Biography[]
Around the year of 28 PC, Leciane do Cirica helped administrate the Test of High Sorcery for Andras Rannoch in the Tower at Daltigoth. He became an black robe wizard. Fistandantilus selected Andras to be his apprentice. Andras studied as his apprentice for seven years, never leaving the underground lair.
In 20 PC, Andras with his quasitos demons attacked a tourney in Lattakay where the Kingpriest of Istar and many Knights of the Divine Hammer were in attendance. Many died at the event. Andras was later captured by the knights but the Conclave magically retrieved Andras so they could punish him. Andras escaped and attempted to assassinate the Kingpriest again at a diplomatic meeting at the Eusymmeas Fountain in Palanthas. Many died in the battle including the Highmage Vincil da Jevra, but the Kingpriest survived. Andras was retrieved by Fistandantilus and locked away in the underground lair where he apprenticed.
After the Lost Battles, as the new Highmage Merroc was handing over the Tower of High Sorcery at Palanthas gate key to Lord of Palanthas Urian, Andras Rannoch appeared in one of the highest windows of the tower. He told the crowd that no one could enter until the Master of Past and Present returned. Andras then threw himself from the window and with his dying breath cursed the tower. The tower then changed into a dark version of what it was.
