Ayanti (? AC - ? AC ) was a centaur that grew up in the years following the War of the Lance. She had a love for all animals and watched over the animals and monsters of Ravenscar who fought in the Pit.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

Ayanti grew up near Cairngorn Keep, a keep in the Heartlund of Solamnia. It was there she befriended the Young Adventurer, Davyn, a resident of the keep. Even though Dayvn’s adopted father, Maddoc, disagreed with the friendship with a centaur, Ayanti and Davyn played together almost every day. While playing around the outskirts of Cairngorn Keep, Ayanti’s hooves broke through ground and revealed secret tunnels under the keep. As soon as Maddoc found out about these, he sealed them off by putting a large boulder over the hole.

Return of the Sorceress[]

No longer children, Ayanti and Davyn remained close friends. She went to work for Bolthor in the nearby town of Ravenscar, taking care of the animals that Bolthor sent to fight in the Pit. Ayanti cared for the animals, training them to stop their fight if a whistle was blown. The only animals she didn’t care for were the monstrous aberrations created by Maddoc. The centaur hated to see the fighting in the Pit but knew her animals would die cruel deaths if she left, so she decided stayed.

When Davyn and the Young Adventurers returned to Ravenscar intent on bringing down Maddoc and his agents, Ayanti became involved. She assisted her newfound allies in the escape from Bolthor and his bodyguards, Kuruk and Shiriki. She helped the Young Adventurers try to rescue Nearra, fight Maddoc and invade Cairngorn Keep through the secret tunnels she discovered as a child. While in the tunnels, she fought the undead dragon, Frostclaw and shape-shifters. The Young Adventurers invaded Cairngorn Keep but didn’t make it in time to save Nearra. Her body was possessed by Asvoria, an evil sorceress.

The Young Adventurers asked Ayanti if she wanted to help fight to save Nearra, but Ayanti had already seen too much violence and fighting. She stayed behind but swore to be there if Davyn needed her.
