Benavir Nine-fingers (? PC - ? PC) was a male Wizard of the Red Robes and a great illusionist. He served as Head of the Red Robes.
Tarsis[]
Benavir was tasked with finding a site for a new Tower of High Sorcery. He chose the rich and productive city of Tarsis. The merchant princes of Tarsis agreed if Benavir would pay for the land. Benavir had a personal fortune and agreed to the terms. Throughout the planning process the rulers of Tarsis continued to find more reasons to ask for more money. Weeks prior to erecting the tower they went too far and instituted an annual tax for practicing wizardry. In response, Benavir cursed the city and left. The curse would not affect the city until the Cataclysm.
Benavir retired as head of the Red Robes and Harald Greytooth succeeded him. Benavir personal fortune was gone because of Tarsis so he returned to the Tower of High Sorcery at Wayreth. There he lived out his days as a poor man.
