Black Mountain was a mountain near the town of Fredericksborough where a Red Dragon named Gondar had a lair with a large dragon horde. The peak of Black Mountain was hidden by a perpetual cloud of gray smoke. It got its name from the shining black rock that makes the mountain. It was an active volcano, but no one in the area in 1232 PC could remember the last time it erupted.
