Dragonlance Wiki

Borac the Black (471 PC - 372 AC) was a black dragon that at the age of 843 years old he died of old age with his wings tattered, and his scales rotting off.

War of the Lance[]

Borac was once employed as a spy and assassin during the War of the Lance. During the War of the Lance, Borac lost his left eye to a dragonlance.

Post War of the Lance[]

After the war, Borac sold his skills to the cleric Malefiche, who possessed a book called the Draconus Dictum, a tome containing, among other information, the secret to creating dragonbane swords. Borac wanted the Draconus Dictum, and Malefiche wanted Borac dead. Neither got what they wanted.

Death[]

In 371 AC, Galan was hunting Borac to get his revenger. Borac was laying in The Great Moors ready to die when the Knight of the Rose came upon him. He saw that the knight was actually a wraith, and never remembered harming Galan or his family during those years. He was going to allow Galan to kill him, but instead, died of old age and rot before Galan could strike him dead. His corpse was stabbed repeatedly by Galan with his Dragonlance following Borac's death.

Other Names[]

Besides Borac the Black, Borac was also known as Borac the Destroyer and Borac the Reaver.
