Bram DiThon was the lord of the DiThon Fiefdom on the south shore of Northern Ergoth after 349 AC. He had dark eyes, hair, and skin of Ergothian nobility like his father Cormac DiThon. He did not take after his Solamnic mother in any way, and only physically took after his father. Bram was always empathetic and level-headed, and known for being of good character.

Early Life[]

Bram was born 18th Mishamont in 325 AC in Castle DiThon to Cormac DiThon and Rietta uth Cuisset. His uncle Guerrand DiThon believed he had a natural magical talent with herbs. His family thought Guerrand and Bram had a lot in common, so Guerrand kept his distance in order to protect Bram from retaliation. The local farmer Nahamkin, a follower of Chislev, took Bram under his wing when Bram was very young. Due to lack of money, Bram was never a squire to a Solamnic Knight as his mother Rietta hoped.

Medusa Plague[]

Bram felt that his father's incompetence gave him a purpose and he became obsessed with restoring the DiThon Fiefdom. At age 16, he began inconspicuously assuming the duties of the castle's steward, Old Wizler. By the time he was 18, he had stabilized the finances and got crops growing again. He was regarded by most as the de facto lord.

On his 18th birthday, he was interrupted by villagers requesting his help with an illness. Bram and the local physicker (i.e., doctor) were unable to help against the Medusa Plague (Disease). Bram stayed with his friend Nahamkin as he died of the disease. Nahamkin tells Bram about Chislev, who Bram had not heard of before. Bram left home to find his uncle Guerrand, hoping he could do something to stop the plague. The local faeries gave Bram passage to the Tower of Wayreth on the faerie road, where Par-Salian and Justarius gave him passage to Bastion.

Guerrand returned to Thonvil to help. They discover Lyim Rhistadt spread the plague in Thonvil to target Guerrand. Guerrand determined that the moon Nuitari controlled the progression of the disease and he used that to cure it.

Tuatha[]

After Bram's father died and he took over as Lord, Guerrand revealed a family secret. Bram's grandfather and his second wife believed that Bram may be a changeling. Bram and Guerrand approach the local faerie king who explained that Bram's father was who he thought but his true mother was a Tuatha Dundarael faerie. After Cormac and Rietta's child was stillborn, they secretly placed Bram in their care.

Bram decides to visit his mother Primula. He travels with a centaur past the Plains of Dust to the traditional community Primula founded. She is skeptical but agrees to teach him her ways. Bram studies with her for two years before returning home.

Seventh Sentinel[]

After Bram returns home, he is asked to help Guerrand assassinate Lyim Rhistadt who is trying to destroy High Sorcery. The magic Bram learned from Primula is not effected by his power. Bram agrees and went with Guerrand to Qindaras where they failed. Guerrand died but Lyim lived.

Bram joins with the Wizards of High Sorcery to defend the Tower of Wayreth against Lyim's army. He assisted the dwarves and Ergothian Cavaliers against the army, then went to the Tower to stop Lyim. Bram uses his magic to turn Lyim into a Vallenwood Tree.

War of the Lance and After[]

Bram made friends with the High Defender of Bastion, Dagamier, and they were both interested in pursuing a romantic relationship. Par-Salian was impressed with Bram's skills and character, offering to take him as an apprentice. Those events were in the early years of the War of the Lance and it is unknown what the results were.
