Brine Dragons are a type of dragon that live in Krynn's oceans. They look like plesiosaur dinosaurs but with draconic heads. Brine Dragons have no wings and in place of legs they have flippers. Their hide is usually mottled and their scales are not uniform. Their skin also gets dotted by clumps of salt. Brine dragon's mouths are full of very large teeth. The teeth are so large that it looks like they are smiling all the time.
Brine dragons get their name for their love of salt. They eat salt and absorb it through their skin. The dragons will also eat just about anything for food, including undead. Brine dragons may have been created as an experiment by Takhisis. They say they are descended from black dragons, but the two species do not look similar.
The brine dragons are chaotic and violent. They will not follow orders. So they have not been used in any war in recorded history. Brine Dragons are also chaotic when it comes to their philosophies on caring for their young. Sometimes the mother will raise them, sometimes the father, sometimes both, sometimes both abandon their eggs, and sometimes they eat their young. This keeps Brine Dragon numbers low.
Abilities[]
Brine dragons have a breath weapon like other dragons. They breathe a salt and alkaline-based spray that is very acid-like. The Brine Dragons have a powerful bite with their overly large teeth. They cannot breathe air. Also, they are immune to poisons and acids.
