Chrethon (? AC - Autumn, 393 AC) was a male Abanasinian Centaur and leader of the Keening Wind Tribe. He had dark gleaming eyes and his hair was pure white in coloring. He later joined a Chaos Creature named Grimbough and became a Chaos creature himself called a Skorenos Centaur. His appearance changed drastically, he looked like a skeleton, emaciated, spindly limbs, knobby bones, colorless flesh except for blue twisting veins beneath the skin, no hair, lipless mouth, and black, sunken eyes.

Chaos War[]

In the summer of 383 AC, Chrethon along with the rest of the Circle of Seven, met with the Forestmaster. She told them that they were not to attack the Knights of Takhisis, and Chrethon swore not to attack them. Shortly there after, he had his tribe attack the Dark Knights multiple times. A month after swearing to the Forestmaster, he was meeting with her and the Circle once again.

At the meeting, Chrethon forsook the Forestmaster for allowing them to fall to darkness. For going against her, he was tried and convicted and sentenced to a daicheiron. Chrethon then vowed to return and make them all pay. He took his tribe east and was not heard of for two years.

Dezra's Quest[]

After heading east, Chrethon found the creature Grimbough and had his tribe become the Skorenoi to serve this Daemon Tree. They gathered their strength, and finally in 385 AC struck back at the circle and killed Lord Thymmiar while the chieftain was out hunting with Xagander. Xagander was gelded, and sent back with Thymmiar's head. They then ambushed Acraton and killed him also. In 391 AC, Leodippos and his tribe forsook the Circle and joined with Chrethon. Chrethon made Leodippos his right hand for showing loyalty.

Eventually Chrethon captured and then bound the Forestmaster in Grimbough's grove, wrapping her in thorny vines and slitting her throat anytime he pleased. She would simply come to life again, only for him to kill her again if he so chose. By 393 AC, he had gained enough strength to attack the centaur home of Ithax in what became known as the Battle of Ithax. He was a decisive victory for his side.

He found out that two humans by the name of Caramon Majere and Dezra Majere had arrived, and they found a magical item called Soulsplitter. Chrethon wanted to use this to remove the Forestmaster's horn, causing her to die permanently. While attempting to do that, he was stopped by the combined efforts of the Majeres and Trephas. Chrethon fought Trephas in single combat, and even though he cut off a couple of Traphas' fingers, Trephas was able to defeat him by driving a sword into his chest.
