Cwelanas (? AC – ? AC) was a female Silvanesti Elf who was the first mate on the ship Silver Spray, serving under her father, Captain Luciar. The elf was lithe and lovely like most of her race, and had silvery hair and golden eyes, given her a peculiar otherworldly appearance. Cwelanas had an intense dislike of Humans.
In 358 AC, the Silver Spray left the city of Palanthas on a voyage to Sancrist, and the crew discovered two stowaways in their hold. The pair, a farmer called Teldin Moore and a strange otherworldly companion were put to work in return for passage. As first mate, Cwelanas was tasked with giving orders to the crew and two stowaways, where she took delight in punishing Teldin wherever possible. Finally Teldin questioned her orders, and in response, an enraged Cwelanas tried to cut him down with her blade. Teldin evaded the elf, and the fight was stopped by Luciar and Teldin's companion. A shameful Cwelanas was forced to apologise for her behaviour.
Shortly after the Silver Spray was attacked by Minotaur pirates, and during the fighting Cwelanas was knocked overboard. Teldin dived into the sea and rescued Cwelanas, bringing her back to the ship, just as the elves drove off the minotaurs. Teldin and his companion were honored by Cwelanas and Luciar for their aid, and were put ashore on Sancrist. Not long after this, the elf was kidnapped by offworlders and taken beyond the realm of Krynn.
