A Daemon Tree is a creature of Chaos. Only one was known to have existed, and it popped up in Darken Wood during the Chaos War. There it feasted on any creature that was brought to it, and it would create Skorenoi Centaur and Shadow-satyrs. After its first kill, it would gain abilities from the blood it feasted on, allowing it to grow, speak, and think. Typically they would be created from the grandest of oak trees when Chaos would touch it, and it would loom over the other trees around it.
When a daemon tree would feed, it would cover its victim in leaves, then the ground rips open and pallid roots reach up and wrap around the victim. The roots would then rip apart the victim, allowing the tree to feast on the blood. When it changes someone, it drags them under ground instead, and whispers to them, allowing the tree to consume their soul and they Cross over to one of its beings. The most famous daemon tree was Grimbough.
