Douglas Kolynian (? AC – ? AC) was a male minotaur who was a noble of the Imperial League. A thoroughly self-absorbed minotaur, Douglas was something of a spoiled brat, who served as a diplomat and spy for the Imperial League. He was raised in a large family, and was the second eldest child, preceded only by his brother Jon Mic-Aelus. Douglas was also the cousin of Burtonas Morgan, albeit he almost never saw his estranged relative.
As a young minotaur, Douglas went through the normal schooling of the League, but felt there was much more to life. He travelled to the Dreaming Green of Northern Hosk, where he lived for a time amongst the Merkitsa Elves. Douglas then went travelling throughout Taladas, where he met various peoples and gained a great deal of respect for elves in particular. He often served as a diplomat of the League in the realm of Armach, and negotiated a peace treaty between the two nations during the latter part of the Age of Despair.
Douglas believed that he had no real identity, because some wizard has stolen some of his life force. His friends laughed off this ridiculous notion, but Douglas was convinced and often sought out clues to his past. All he knew were the series of lies and identities that he pretended to have in front of others, to impress and gain reputation. When his father passed away, Douglas was pressured into taking a role on the Imperial Senate, which he excelled at, even gaining the attention of Ambeoutin XI, Emperor of the Imperial League.
