The Dread Winter is an event that occurred at the end of the fourth age in 383 AC on Taladas. It signified the time when the gods left the world, and both divine and arcane magic went with them.
Many enchantments were broken, and the Chaldar, which was raised in the Burning Sea following the Great Destruction as a sign of the gods' wrath, also fell into the sea.
Much of the continent was then covered in snow and ice, causing significant changes in the landscape and climes of Taladas.
