Duncan di Caela (190? - 172 PC) was the eldest son of Gabriel di Caela with two brothers Benedict di Caela and Gabriel di Caela II. His brother Benedict was envious of him and in the end this combined with Benedict finding a magical artifact that could create deadly illusions to Duncans death. A group of gruesomely big rats was seen attacking Duncan in his bed by his father that came to his screams but could not save him anymore. There was clearly foul play at work as the embalmers saw no wounds when they had to prepare his body for burial.
Wanting to know what happened his brother Gabriel convinced their father to call in the clerics of Mishakal to make Duncan speak from the grave. But before this could be done, a set fire broke out in the sepulchre burning Duncans body blocking the sounding. The burns and lampoil found on the robe in Benedicts quarters was found as proof of his guild.
