The Emerald Throne is the throne of the Speaker of the Stars and sits in the Tower of the Stars. The throne is covered in green emeralds from top to bottom. House Royal also has a way of communicating in secret with rolls of paper that then are read by finding the right cylinder to pull out of the throne. The paper is then rolled around the cylinder lining up the paper to form the words of the message. Following the fall of Silvanost to the Minotaurs in 421 AC, it is unknown what has become of the throne.
