Unlike the male title Emperor of Ergoth, Empress of Ergoth is the title given to the female regnant or consort rulers of the Empire of Ergoth, and now Northern Ergoth. Balalana was dubbed the first Empress of Ergoth by Ackal Ergot her husband, when he named himself Emperor of Ergoth in 2600 PC.
There has only been two women recorded that have held this title and solely ruled the throne. First being Empress Kanira who gained the throne after her husband Mordirin Ackal's death. The second being Empress Deri who lead the civil war that won her the throne. Both women were murdered for control of the crown.
