Fiona Quinti (? AC - 420 AC) was a Knight of the Crown formally stationed at Castle Eastwatch, who became a Hero of the Heart. She had curly red hair, was tall, lithe, formidable, haggard, a high forehead, and tended to have a temper.

Early Life[]

Not much is known about Fiona's years before the Knighthood. She came from a family of knights, and always had wanted to follow in her father's footsteps. During this time, she honed her skills with the sword, even showing that she was able to defeat many male opponents.

Hero of the Heart[]

In 414 AC, Fiona was a newly stationed Knight of the Crown at Castle Eastwatch. While out on a patrol, she was captured by Gellidus and put in one of his food storages. She was rescued by Palin Majere, Groller Dagmar, and Ulin Majere. Following her return to Castle Eastwatch, she was quick to join in on Goldmoon's cause against the Dragon Overlords.

Fiona would assist in many adventures through New Swamp, even when the Heroes made their way to the Window to the Stars to confront the Dragon Overlords of Sable, Skie, Malys, Frost, and Beryl, to stop Malys from becoming the next Takhisis in 416 AC. Through the combined efforts of the Heroes, they were able to stop her from ascending, but Skie was able to go off through the portal. Fiona became close to one of the Heroes named Rig Mer-Krel during the adventures. They agreed to get married, and continued to adventure together following their victory.

For the next couple of years, Rig and Fiona traveled from town to town near the lands of the ogres. They assist all they came upon who were being driven away by the Overlords, or who had just fallen upon bad luck. This continued until word reached the two of them that Fiona's brother had been captured in an ambush, and taken to Shrentak in New Swamp.

New Swamp and Dhamon[]

So, in 420 AC, Fiona and Rig set out to find Dhamon Grimwulf to assist them in getting back her brother. They found that he had fallen in with a band of thieves, and convinced him and his group to journey with them. Fiona was blind to their true intentions, and eventually after being led around by the nose, Fiona and Rig went to New Swamp on their own.

Trappers captured the two of them almost immediately upon entering the swamp. They themselves were taken to Shrentak and thrown in prison. Her brother died while imprisoned in a cramp cell with his companions. Dhamon did come to save them though, but during the ensuing battle Rig, was killed. Fiona was able to get away on a manticore, but even then it showed that Fiona had dropped into madness at the death of her beloved.

During the flight, a Black Spawn attacked Fiona. It sprayed acid, which hit her in the neck, cheek, sword arm, and most of her hair melted away. She was permanently disfigured. Eventually, she makes it to the small island of Nostar, and while there Nura Bint-Drax restores Fiona's beauty. Her madness was lifted, and memories flooded back to her. She ran from Dhamon to escape from him, but eventually Dhamon caught back up with her. He again saves her from bakali hunters who were going to kill her, but in a rage, for all their friends who had been killed, she attack Dhamon. Fiona nearly killed him, but she settled down and continued to journey with Dhamon.

Eventually, Dhamon and her come upon the Shadow Dragon that inflicted all the scale growth upon Dhamon. Fiona attacked the shadow dragon with Wyrmsbane, which was given to her by Nura, in the intent of helping Dhamon. The shadow dragon made quick work of her, even with the sword of Tanis Half-Elven, by piercing her body with its claw. Dhamon buried her where she fell, and rammed Wyrmsbane into the liquefied stone. There the two lay entombed, and Fiona has gone on to be with Rig and their other friends.
