Fordus Firesoul (28 PC - Summer, 3 PC) was a male Istaran human with sea-blue eyes, red beard, aristocratic nose, high cheekbones, and such a fast runner that he could outrun a horse.
Early Life[]
Fordus was born the bastard son of the Kingpriest of Istar Beldinas Pilofiro with a slave girl. Upon hearing of his birth, the Kingpriest had Fordus taken out into the desert and left there. Fortunately for Fordus he was found by the Que-Nara chieftain Kestrel and raised as his own son.
Rebellion[]
By 3 PC much of the Que-Nara had fallen to Istar's legions as the Kingpriest had ordered many peoples eradication on Ansalon. Fordus had risen up a rebel army to attack and fight the legions, winning against them at least six times. In order to speak with his followers, he would always speak in riddles and Stormlight would translate for the followers.
While he was leading the rebellion, he slowly was going insane from being poisoned by springjaw, all of this was at the plans of Takhisis who had taken the form of a warrior named Tamex. Eventually these skirmishes end with the final Battle of Istar where most of his followers are killed by the Sixth Istaran Legion. Fordus was able to make it to the Kingpriest's tower in Istar, and there confront his father.
Tamex had followed and told Beldinas that this was his son come to claim his throne. The Kingpriest saw that they looked exactly similar, other than Fordus had fiery red hair. Fordus collapses down and in this moment the Kingpriest took his chance and through the collar around Fordus, he choked him to death with clerical magic. He then turns Fordus to dust, and continues Takhisis plans of bringing on the Cataclysm, even though he doesn't know it is her.
Other Names[]
Fordus was known by a wide range of names including Fordus the Prophet, Fordus the Storm, Water Prophet, Lord of the Rebels, and Storm of Prophecy.
