Hannareit ber Bane (? PC - Spring Dawning, 545 PC), also called the Dowager Queen, was a female Icereach Ogre that was the first wife to Grimtruth Bane. Before marrying Grimtruth, she was known as Hannareit ber Fallscape, from her family name. Hannareit looked like an older Stariz ber Glacierheim ber Bane with a square-jawed face, small eyes beneath a large, round forehead, white hair, and short, round tusks that are small and blunted.
History[]
In 556 PC, Grimtruth had grown tired of his first wife Hannareit, so he decided to banish her to Dracoheim so that he could then marry Thraid Dimmarkull. Hannareit vowed never to return to Winterheim so long as the mistress was still there. While there, she came into the command of Dimorian Fallabrine and put him in the North Tower to create technology and weapons for her people. Eventually he created the Golden Orb, and Hannareit was able to give these to her son to use in their war against the Arktos. Just as things were falling apart for Hannareit, Dimorian sacrifices himself for his son and drops the final Golden Orb from the North Tower, vaporizing the entire castle in a huge explosion that killed Hannareit.

In the first book, The Messenger, her name was spelled Hananreit ber Fallscape. It is assumed the first named was just spelled wrong, and the last name was her maiden name.
