Korril (? - ca. 9000 PC) was the first green dragon and one of the five Sons of Takhisis.
Biography[]
The wily green dragon initially lived with his brothers in the Khalkist Mountains before moving into the forests to the east. In the initial quiet period, Korril mated with Takhisis, who bore the green dragon eggs back to the Abyss with her, to safeguard the green eggs until they were hatched.
Korril was considered third in power amongst the Sons, and subservient to his mightier brothers Arkan and Furyion. When the Sons of Takhisis waged war on the Daughters of Paladine, the cunning green dragon aided his brothers in the fight against Querrasian and Tianaran, but was the chief antagonist in the fight against the brass matriarch Sheeranar. When Furyion created an illusory rainbow to trick Sheeranar, his brothers decimated the brass dragon. Korril was the one who claimed the matriarch's life and made a necklace for himself from her scales.
The green dragon flew with his brothers one final time against the golden dragon Aurora. Allowing his other brothers to chase the gold dragon, Korril waited for her to approach him instead. Using a magical eye to stay aware of her movements and approach, Korril allowed Aurora to think she had ambushed him. Korril then launched a noxious cloud of gas into her face. However even his breath weapon was no match for the powerful gold, who decimated him with a fireball, and then crushed his neck in her jaws.

Inconsistencies[]
Some scholars purport that Korril was in fact the only female amongst the first chromatic dragons, although most texts refer to Korril as male. Always described as one of the Sons of Takhisis, the gender argument can be all but disregarded.
