Kortal is a large village located in the north-western part of the realm of Khur, along the border near Neraka. The village has long been rife with Nerakan spies, and was one of the primary bases occupied by the Dragonarmies in Khur during the War of the Lance. The Knights of Neraka have more recently held a major foothold in Kortal, however the villagers ultimately still pay fealty to the Khan of Khur.
The people of Kortal wear westernized clothing due to their close proximity with the nation of Taman Busuk, and limited contact with the rest of Khur.
