The first step for an aspiring Legionnaire (once they have passed the testing & application stage), is to become a Legion Apprentice. Each legionnaire has an apprentice at one time or another, as this is considered one of the Legion's most important duties, to keep their numbers strong. After this term, they are given their Starjewel and promoted to legionnaire.
