Lonely Refuge is a mystical site located in the Northern Wastes of Solamnia. It is on the coastline of the Turbidus Ocean, southwest of The Grove. Located on three sides of it is nothing but desert with the fourth a rocky coastline that leads down to the ocean.
The Lonely Refuge is a single tall tower that is roughly eight to nine stories tall, with more possibly located underground. It is magical and may appear and disappear. The main and only door leading into the tower leads into a large room, with its walls covered in large tapestries and paintings of beautiful countrysides, people, ships, unicorns, and coastlines. A single stairwell curls upward in the tower, with more paintings hung along it. Palin Majere and the Master were known to have been staying here in 414 AC.
