At the beginning of the War of the Lance, the Dragonarmies attacked the Elven land of Silvanesti. King Lorac Caladon of the Silvanesti tried to use a powerful Artifact known as a Dragon Orb. He became enthralled by the orb, caught in a nightmare whispered to him by the Green Dragon Cyan Bloodbane that twisted and deformed his homeland.
