Menelachos (? AC - Summer, 393 AC) was a male centaur and chieftain of the Ebon Lance Tribe. He was tall, broad, bay-coated with a black mane, and had a scarred face. Not only was he chieftain, he was also High Chief of Darken Wood from at least 383 AC to 393 AC. He was known to have had at least two children, a son named Zerian and a daughter, Lanorica.
Chaos War[]
During the Chaos War, the Forestmaster came to him and the other chieftains and asked them not to take up arms against Knights of Takhisis. They were instead going to focus on the forces of Chaos. They all swore, but Chrethon decided to violate the oath and attacked the Dark Knights. For this, he was sentenced to daicheiron and his clan was cast out. The Circle of Seven became Six.
Age of Mortals[]
Ten years into the new Age of Mortals, two other clans were destroyed by their former friend Chrethon. Menelachos worked with his fellow centaurs to stop him, even so much as asking for help from the great Caramon Majere. By the summer of that year, they were in full retreat as Chrethon was defeating them with the help of a Daemon Tree and the centaurs it turned into Skorenoi Centaur.
During one such attack on Ithax, Menelachos decided to bring up the rear guard and named his friend Eucleia as the new High Chief. Menelachos made his last stand at the Yard of Gathering, killing many Skorenoi before both his arms were broken and fingers were shattered. A crushing blow to his head happened, killing him.
