Dragonlance Wiki

Mies (? AC - ? AC) was a female Human that was a resident of the village of Haslit. Mies had several daughters and served as the midwife of the village, where she operated from the largest house in the settlement. She was married to the miller Josef, and led a happy and peaceful life until 348 AC.

At this time, a party of Dragon hunters entered Haslit and took up residence in Mies' home, where they questioned her husband about local dragons. The hunters killed Josef, set fire to the village and kidnapped Mies, to ensure the villagers did not pursue them. The hunters dragged Mies to the lair of the Copper Dragon Narn, who was lulled into a false sense of security when he saw his human friend.

The hunters then killed Narn, and abandoned the elderly Mies in the dragon's lair, after they took their trophy, the dragon's left ear. Mies then left the lair, where she was assisted by a band of adventurers and the Dragon Knight Tavin Longspear in returning to Haslit.
