Miya (2434 PC - ? PC) was the younger of the two daughters of Chieftain Makaralonga of the Dom-Shu and became a wife of Tol of Juramona, following Tol's defeat of her father in battle. She was described as being lean and tall like her elder sister Kiya, however she had short-cropped wavy brown hair, innocent eyes and a round face. Miya was somewhat quieter than her sister, but still a confident woman when she arrived in Juramona in 2416 PC to offer herself as a wife to "Lord Tol", whom she was two years older than.
Tol's New Wife[]
Once she had settled in Juramona, Miya became very much at home amongst the markets and merchants, showing a talent for bartering and reducing many merchants to tears. When Tol was requested to come to Daltigoth in 2414 PC, Miya and her sister also went along. Miya relished her time spent in Daltigoth, enjoying dealing with the large numbers of vendors and merchants, as well as maintaining Juramona Hall, the new house of her husband in the canal district. In 2412 PC, Miya went along with her sister when Tol was requested by the emperor to investigate rumors of the monster XimXim. Miya aided her sister and husband in the fight against the monster, and was intrigued by the kender of Hylo. She stayed by her husband's side during his stay in Hylo until 2411 PC.
In 2401 PC, when Tol was recalled back to Daltigoth, Miya made the trek through the mountains with Tol, Kiya, and her husband's companions. After several magical attempts by a mysterious assassin to kill Tol, and a misadventure with a pirate fleet, Miya made it to Daltigoth with her husband and sister.
Following the coronation of Ackal IV, Miya met the engineer Elicarno, who displayed his inventions to the new emperor and was challenged to a contest by the sorcerer Mandes. From the contest onwards, Miya left Tol's side and courted Elicarno. Soon after Miya became Elicarno's wife and was pregnant with child. Miya also took over the business administration of Elicarno's work, and soon his inventions were turning up all over Daltigoth as business boomed. Miya gave birth to a son, which she named Eli.
When Tol rode to face Mandes, the sorcerer sent a magical beast to kill Miya and her child, and showed Tol this via an illusion, hoping to force the warlord back to Daltigoth and away from him. However Elicarno faced off against the beast and was killed defending his wife and child. When Tol was beaten and left for dead outside of Daltigoth, Miya and her sister found him and took him back to the Great Green.
Miya's Choice[]
For six years, Miya lived her sister Kiya, her husband Tol and her son Eli in the Dom-Shu village. However the arrival of Tol's old friend Egrin Raemel in 2395 PC, meant that Kiya and Tol returned to the lands of Ergoth. Miya chose to stay behind in the Dom-Shu village to take care of her son Eli. Shortly before Tol left, Miya gave him back his nullstone, which he had asked her to destroy for him. Rather than be angry, Tol merely took the nullstone and left.
Worried over the fate of her sister Kiya and Tol, Miya decided to wander out of the Great Green to search for her family. Her father, Chieftain Makaralonga took some of his warriors and joined Miya in the search, however a nomad war band soon assaulted them. Fleeing from the nomads, the Dom-Shu were then mistaken for nomads themselves and captured by an Imperial Horde and imprisoned back in Caergoth. However it would only be a short stay, before the arrival of the half-elf Zala, Helbin the Red-Robed Mage, and the Kender of Hylo, who freed the Dom-Shu and other prisoners and engineered an escape out of the city and back to the vanguard forces of the Army of the East, where she was reunited with Tol. Along with Tol's advance forces, Miya fought through the remaining defenders of Caergoth and helped her husband claim the city, and also prevented him from killing Governor Wornoth in cold blood, whilst he was in a rage.
As the rest of the Army of the East reached Caergoth, Miya was finally reunited with her sister Kiya once more. She continued to travel with the Army of the East, to the outskirts of Daltigoth where Tol's forces were attacked by the Emperor's Wolves. Following the death of Egrin and the defeat of the Wolves, Tol made the decision to enter Daltigoth alone. He gave his Irda nullstone to Miya once more, asking her to keep it safe for him. Whilst Miya stayed behind with the army, her sister insisted to accompany Tol and the two entered the imperial city on their own.
After the fighting was over, Miya found Kiya and Tol, and helped them bury Egrin in Zivilyn's Carpet. Tol told them that his life of fighting and war was over and that he was going to live a life of solitude. He vanished into the tall grass as Miya watched over Egrin's grave.
Later Life[]
Miya lived out the rest of her days in peace in the Great Green. She told her many tales and adventures to her fellow Dom-Shu and lived her remaining days with her son Eli.
