The Monkey's Ear Tavern is a large tavern located in the south-eastern part of the town of Pentar. The tavern was originally built on the docks itself, and was a spacious tavern that was home to all manner of rogues and blackguards, and was also guarded by the Seaguard of Pentar. The Monkey's Ear Tavern was known as a place for mercenaries to find contracts, or as a place for recruiters to hire fighters. The Gnome Theodenes took over the establishment as boss in 357 AC, however it was burned down shortly after, as the Red Dragonarmy forces of Rivven Cairn sought out Vanderjack.
In the winter of 357 AC, the Monkey's Ear Tavern was rebuilt over the Floating Marketplace, to ensure that it could never be destroyed by fire again.
