The Pillars of the Moons is a site located in the Steamwall Mountains, just beyond the northeast border of the Hulder Realm. This ancient site was once a common ground for magic-users of any alignment, where they could share and impart knowledge without fear of attack. Special magical guardians were located at the site to keep the peace, and also to ensure that only true magic-users were allowed entry. However the bulk of the site was destroyed during the Great Destruction, and the Pillars of the Moons become little more than a set of ruins, forgotten by all given its remote location.
A canyon leads to the Pillars of the Moons, and large cliffs rose to either side of the canyon. The cliffs began at twenty feet tall, and eventually rose to one hundred and twenty feet high. The canyon ends at a set of rough agate and jasper steps, which are twenty feet wide and leads up to a long corridor of paved marble flagstones.
This final corridor stretched for over one hundred feet in length, and had a series of mosaics, galleries and balconies on both walls. Three sets of pillars ran along the walls, the first possessed two Goliskavarr statues, the next had two Purandarr statues, and the final set were two Urgonarr statues. The corridor ended at a monstrous stone sphinx, and a crumbled staircase ran into the sphinx's mouth.
