The Plains of Dergoth lie north of Thorbardin, west of the Plains of Dust, and southeast of the forests of Qualinesti. Before the Dwarfgate Wars, the land had been grasslands and forests populated by many birds and animals. Dwarven constructed roads cross the plains, although after the Cataclysm many of these roads fell into disrepair.

Death now rules this land, the sun gives no warmth. After the blast that destroyed the fortress of Zhaman, anything left alive was destroyed. Grotesque piles of twisted and molten blackened armor from the combatants can be found here and there. Mounds of ash, from the all-consuming fire lie everywhere.
