Dragonlance Wiki

Reorx is the second planet in the Krynnspace solar system. There is only one moon to orbit the planet Reorx. It does not have a name and much is not know about it. It could possibly support life.

Surface & Climate[]

Reorx's surface is made up of sheer mountains and deep chasms. The makeup of the planet is rich in ores, some of which are iron, copper, silver, and gold.

The midsection of Reorx has a tropical climate. One of the greatest features of the planet is in this area, the highest mountain can be found here. Clouds are always hiding the top of its peaks, but snow never falls in these parts. Rain visits the area frequently, yet bodies of water do not settle cause the heat evaporates most of the surface water. So only rivers and streams can be found running off into the chasms.

In the southern hemisphere the mountains of the region are flat, as if they had been hacked off by a great axe. The leveled mesas are barren and scattered with small boulders. These mesas are the planet's only deserts.

Further towards the polar caps, the climate lowers. Mountains of the area are covered in snow during the longer winter months. Only the poles have a landscape that is unique to the planet. Giant ice formations occupies this area, looking like spikes reaching for the sky. These icily fingers make a chiming sound in the harsh winds of the frigid land.

Krynnins Philosophy[]

Reorx is the closest planet to Krynn and is the most visible. Although Krynn's people do not know what the surface looks like, a old text claims of mages that they used magic to see the planet. They stated the surface was mountainous as far as one could see, there was rain and pine forest with creatures.

Gnomes and Dwarves favor the god Reorx's beloved planet. The dwarves believe that a great hall dwells under the surface. The great hall's walls and pillars are said to be made of platinum, gold, and silver. It is here where the long-dead dwarven kings spirits are thought to feast with Reorx himself. The banquets are believed to last for days, consisting of roasted deer and unlimited ale.
