The Rusty Shield Tavern is a tavern in Solace on the seedier side of the city. Brandel was the tapman and Edelle was one of the barmaids in 393 AC. After The Trough was burned down during the Chaos War, this tavern was built once the Knights of Takhisis were no longer in the city. Above the door was a well-rusted shield that creaks in the wind. The slate-shingled roof is buckled, paint peeling on its walls, no windows, no "proper" sign, smells of smoke, the ale is sour, and it has a row of scrubby bushes beside the door.
