Sturmfrost was a brutal onslaught of winter that came every year to Icereach prior to the Cataclysm. The Snow Sea would build up behind the Icewall Dam and then the King of Icereach would shatter the Icewall Dam with the Axe of Gonnas releasing three to four months of winter upon Icereach. Of those three to four months, four to six weeks mighty chunks of ice might fall with brutal winds and well below zero. The sun no longer shines leaving the lands in darkness, and all of White Bear Sea freezes solid.
