Southeast of the fortress of Bludgeon is the ancient ruin of Takar. Rumored to contain great treasures and ancient artifacts, Takar is also considered to house a powerful and ancient evil that emanates throughout the entire area.
Age of Dreams[]
During the Age of Dreams, it was considered the birthplace of the ogres and where Takhisis first breathed life into her creations, it was once the most extensive and glorious of all the cities of the ancient High Ogres. The city was situated in the Takar Valley, and was one of four cities that the ogre king would reside in during his reign.
Lovely stone structures and temples lay throughout the city and a monstrous coliseum lay in the southern section of Takar. The city was situated in the Takar Valley. The upper class homes of the city were termed "the hostage district", and the city was extremely wealthy for its ores, gems, and slaves brought into it.
It was in the city of Takar that the ogre Igraine turned away from the barbaric traditions of his race and led his Irda away, before the ogres succumbed to their fall from grace which cast them down from the High Ogres and into the brutish creatures we know in contemporary Krynn. The city burned to the ground, even the stones were said to have burned in the destruction.
