Teekli Quickstep (? AC - ? AC) was a Kender who bore the traits of both a kender and a Human, due to being brought up by a human from the age of four. The kender dressed in the latest of human fashions, with bright coats and trousers usually in red, and a matching red hat with a white plume. Teekli was known to move at a particularly fast pace through his use of a periapt of stamina, which is how he earned his last name.
Early Life[]
Teekli was born in the Goodlund region, where he lived his first few years with his parents and sister Telsa. A Draconian raid during the War of the Lance ripped through their settlement, and Teekli saw his parents and friends killed at this time. The young kender managed to escape with Telsa, however they were separated in the confusion and he found himself alone in the wilderness. A human swashbuckler by the name of d'Avenell found Teekli, and took him in as his adopted son, leading the young lad back to Balifor with him.
Later Life[]
Studying swordsmanship from d'Avenell, Teekli became something of a swashbuckler himself, and also developed a number of human traits. He developed the art of the kender Taunt to a whole new level, as his intimate knowledge about humans made his taunts far more effective than the normal kender. He also found a fascination with kites and science, after learning about air movement from scholars in Balifor. He was last seen searching for his sister and mapping the world at the same time.
