Than-Kar (? PC - ? PC) was a male Theiwar Dwarf who was a general of Kal-Thax and an ambassador. He was described as rude and arrogant, with a belligerant manner. The dwarf usually had unkempt hair and a wild beard, and the crazy eyes, typical of the Theiwar dwarves. In 2191 PC, after Dunbarth asked to remain in Kal-Thax, Chieftain Hal-Waith chose Than-Kar to be his ambassador to the Elves. Than Kar was sent to Silvanost with one thousand axemen, to further solidify the alliance between the elves and the dwarves against the forces of Ergoth. However instead, the Theiwar did his best to undermine the treaty and blocked every attempt of the elves to gain allies from Kal-Thax.
Than-Kar lied to both the ruler of Kal-Thax and the elves of Silvanost, as he worked for his fellow Theiwar Kalawax, ally of the Ergothian general Giarna. His duplicity was discovered in 2190 PC, and the Theiwar dwarf fled Silvanost with his bodyguards, escaping via the Thon-Thalas River. The dwarf then led his battalion to the Army of Ergoth, where they arrived in time to see the Ergothian army defeated by Kith-Kanan's forces. The Theiwar dwarves aided the surviving Ergothian forces in retreating and proved an effective ally in rebuilding their forces for the ongoing war against the elves.
It is unknown what became of Than-Kar after this point, but he was either killed in the ongoing war or fled back to the dwarven kingdom.
