Tianaran (? - ca. 9000 PC) was the first Silver Dragon and one of the five Daughters of Paladine.
Biography[]
A powerful dragon who was nearly the equal of the mighty Gold Dragon Aurora, Tianaran made her lair in ice caves within the great glaciers around Icewall, where she was visited by Paladine who mated with her. The silver dragon bore four eggs after she joined with Paladine, which she stored away in the metallic dragons's nest in the High Kharolis Mountains.
As the Sons of Takhisis launched themselves upon the Daughters of Paladine, it was the White Dragon Akis who penetrated the lair of Tianaran. The silver dragon was well aware that Akis was no true threat to her, and allowed him to enter her home. However the other sons of Takhisis (disguised as bugs and hiding under Akis' wings) resumed their draconic forms and appeared to devastate Tianaran. Ultimately it was the Blue Dragon Arkan who slew the silver dragon, making a necklace of silver scales from her corpse.
Legacy[]
Of Tianaran's four eggs, only three survived. Her children were the silver male Darlantan, the silver females Kenta and Turq.
Kender Tales[]
The silver matriarch has been referred to as Argyn by Bard Patersmith, but all other accounts name her as Tianaran.
