They have a symbiotic relationship to mortal civilization and their health matches the health of the community they tend to. They live in the faerie realm and are invisible unless they choose not to be. They reject the name "brownie" and take offense to being confused with other faerie folk.
King Weador leads the Tuatha of Thonvil in Northern Ergoth, and it's unclear what the true reach of his kingdom is. He claims that they have tended that region since the beginning of time.
