Built into a gorge, the University of Palanthas lies to the northeast of Palanthas, the Scholar's Way being the only way to get there. The ten-story building was founded in the years following the death of Vinas Solamnus and the faculty has had a strained relationship with the Aesthetics because it was Astinus who once rejected the scholars' idea of including the Great Library of Palanthas in the university. Each floor of the building contains lecture halls, study halls, laboratories, and dorm rooms and major fields of study include literature, philosophy, military history, law, and history.
