Vanesti Silvanos (2191 PC - ? PC) was a Silvanesti Elf who was the son of Lady Hermathya Oakleaf and Sithas Silvanos, Speaker of the Stars. He was born in the mid-summer of 2191 PC and grew up in the confines of the palace of Silvanost, doted on by his father and mother, as well as his uncle Kith-Kanan.
In 2140 PC, Vanesti was due to begin his training in the warrior arts, but much to his parents' dismay, he refused to train at any of the academies of Silvanost. Instead he wished to train under Kith-Kanan as his squire. Sithas asked his brother to train Vanesti, and Kith-Kanan agreed, bringing Vanesti to Sithelbec with him. The final battle against the forces of the Empire of Ergoth occurred shortly after, with Parnigar, Kith-Kanan, Vanesti and a small band of bodyguards located just afar from the frontlines. The Ergothian general Giarna launched an attack on the group, cut down Parnigar, and then drove his sword through Vanesti's back, leaving the elven youth a cripple for the rest of his life.
