Varelia (? AC – ? AC) was a female minotaur who was an accomplished thief that lived in the city of Kristophan. She grew up as the eldest daughter of a minor nobleman in Kristophan, and was blamed at a young age for poisoning her sister who died of a wasting disease. Her father, who blamed Varelia for her sister’s death, then died shortly after, falling from a balcony of his villa in Thera. Again, a “distraught” Varelia played the victim and over the course of a year, squandered all her father’s hard earned money.
Finding herself bordering on destitute, Varelia turned to a life of crime, learning that she was quite skilled at thievery and also at subterfuge. She was known to take on contract killings, which allowed her to delight in dealing pain and death to others. Varelia was a loner by nature, finding the company of others distasteful. She held grudges for long periods of time, and often had violent mood swings. Varelia was a devout worshipper of Sargonnas, rather paranoid and an insomniac.
