Vasari II (? PC - 101 PC), who's real name was Evestel, became a Kingpriest of Istar following the death of Vasari I in 121 PC. He was an ambitious cleric that took the rule from the named heir, Pradian, but since the heir was named in private with no witnesses, Vasari was able to become the next Kingpriest.
This caused some serious factional fighting between Vasari II and Pradian, and caused the Miceram to disappear. By 118 PC, Pradian fled to Govinna with the Miceram, and set up a rival church and took the name of Kingpriest. Since Vasari II had no crown, he had a topaz circlet made, and would be used until the Miceram was found in 40 PC.
Vasari II would declare the Edict of Manifest Virtue in the same year, and fighting between the two groups would eventually be called the Three Thrones War. Vasari II would have lost, but luckily for him Pradian was killed in battle and Theorollyn III was far from his equal. Vasari II would continue to rule until his death in 101 PC, and his heir Vasari III gained the throne.
