Wizards of the Coast is the publisher of Dragonlance after it acquired TSR in 1997 when TSR had major financial issues. But by 1999, Wizards had been bought by the toy company Hasbro and became one of its subsadaries. Wizards of the Coast continued to publish books up until 2006, with the last being Lost Chronicles (series). After a restructure in 2021, Wizards of the Coast now acts as a lead part in a new division called Wizards & Digital, and with that they announced that Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman would be returning with a new trilogy. And after that success, a new series was announced called War Wizard (Series), with the first book For the Sake of the Magic due out in 2026 following the early years of Huma Dragonbane and Magius.
