Yu (? AC – ? AC) was a male Elf who was a thief and a mage that worked for the Upright Men in both Morgad and Kristophan. He was originally abandoned as a babe in the outskirts of Morgad, where he was found by a Human family and raised in the slums. The family chose the basic name of Yu for the baby, but found raising an elven child much harder than they expected due to the slow development.

When Yu reached the age of twenty-five, his adopted father started to take him to work with him, doing odd jobs for the Upright Man. Yu showed considerable skill with this work, and his father eventually left him in the care of the Upright Man to raise henceforth, and also to learn magic from the Upright Man's mage. Yu grew to become one of the best thieves in all of Morgad, as well as a decent mage. Eventually Yu knew he had outgrown the city, and chose to travel to Kristophan to seek even greater fortune, however on the way he was waylaid and robbed by brigands.

Enraged by the assault and the lack of caring by the Saiones when he reported the crime, Yu met with Theodruses, Upright Man of the South Quarter. At this time, Yu also began to plot to undermine the Imperial League and bring down the Minotaurs. Over time, Yu also grew to resent Theodruses, who asked him to carry out actions against his nature. The elf started to plan to take over from Theodruses, and grew to earn the respect of his fellow thieves. Yu also enlisted the aid of the paladin Austan Gavynus from time to time.

The elf was charming and innocent in appearance, but was in truth quite cunning. He stood by his friends, and in turn earnt the loyalty of those around him. Yu delighted in female companionship, which he admitted was a weakness of his. He was also something of a playwright, filling his plays with hidden political satire, and also encoded secret messages to his band in the scripts of his plays.
