Dragonlance Wiki

Zivilyn is deity of wisdom, enlightenment, and insight. His realm is awareness, balance, and understanding. His branches reach into every time and place in the River of Time, into the past and into the future. He exists in all times and places simultaneously, and is wisest of the gods.

Zivilyn was called from the Beyond by the High God to serve as counselor to Gilean, to give insight to his mate Chislev’s instinct, and to bear witness to the world and share this divine experience with mortals. He has a green, sparkling star in the night sky. It is a wandering planet, unfixed in the heavens that for years or even decades at a time, won't be in view in the sky.

Zivilyn opposes the consuming hatred by deities such as Sargonnas and Takhisis, and the martial ambition of Kiri-Jolith, but calls no god his enemy. Many believe that The World Tree is the physical manifestation of Zivilyn, upon the world of Krynn.

Coraltop Netfisher[]

Zivilyn took the form of a male kender in 553 PC whom had long red hair in a topknot, and Kerrick Fallabrine "rescued" him from the back of a Dragon Turtle. He only allowed Kerrick to see him during his adventures in Icereach by disappearing such as "falling" overboard from Kerrick's ship during Sturmfrost. He would return in 545 PC and reveal himself to Moreen Bayguard. Once the final battle between to the ogres and the humans takes place, and peace was called between the two sides, Coraltop announced that he was the god Zivilyn. He and Karyl Drago ber Glacierheim, who was secretly Gonnas the Strong, did not like the humans and ogres constant fighting. They both wanted peace in Icereach, which was achieved until the Cataclysm destroyed the kingdom.
